Irises is one of several paintings of irises by the Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh, and one of a series of paintings he executed at the Saint Paul-de-Mausole asylum in Saint-Remy-de-Provence, France, in the last year before his death in 1890. Van Gogh started painting Irises within a week of entering the asylum, in May 1889, working from nature in the hospital garden. There is a lack of the high tension which is seen in his later works. He called painting "the lightning conductor for my illness" because he felt that he could keep himself from going insane by continuing to paint. The painting was probably influenced by Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock prints like many of his works and those by other artists of the time. The similarities occur with strong outlines, unusual angles, including close-up views, and also flattish local colour (not modelled according to the fall of light).(Source: Wikipedia)

Now you can enjoy Irises on a daily basis. Well not all of it! To put this rectangular painting (roughly 4x3) on products, we use as much of the painting as we can on each product. So for a square product like the shower curtain - we use a 3x3 rectangle - which cuts off a little of the sides - but is still very much Irises For other products such as the wristlet (a wide 4x1 rectangle) - you get a small slice of the painting.

The leather patches are laser engraved on the front and have an adhesive on the back. The adhesive is relatively strong, however as these are iron on patches, heat has to be applied to create a more permanent bond. (See application instructions below).

Our leather patches come in 4 different shapes - Square (3" x 3"), Round (3" x 3"), Oval (3.5" x 2.5"), Rectangle (3.5" x 2.5") and a beautiful rich brown rawhide or cognac color.

Each patch is laser engraved with your customized or personalized logo, photo or design. The patches will be engraved with a black finish.

Our patches are a faux leather however, they have the look and feel of genuine leather at a fraction of the cost.

These custom leather patches are water resistant, easy to clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent and durable for everyday use.

Application Instructions:

• Our iron patches can be applied with a heat press or a home iron.
• Peel the paper backing from the back of the patch and carefully apply to clean the dry surface.
• Heat Press
• Set heat press at 280 to 285 F and press at medium pressure.
• Cover leather patch with teflon sheet and apply heat for 10-15 seconds
• Home Iron
• Set your home iron to the medium setting with NO steam.
• Cover the leather patch with a soft white t-shirt or pillow case.
• Apply a bit of pressure and iron for 10 to 15 seconds.
• Use the t-shirt or pillow case to apply even pressure across the leather patch to ensure it firmly adhered to your surface. Enjoy!

• Wipe the leather patch with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
