YouCustomizeIt's Response to COVID-19

Update: Jan 14, 2021

Production and shipping loads have finally started to return to normal after the holiday season. Most products have returned back to their normal production times of only a few days, and shipping times are showing improvement.

Among the primary issues we are still facing is unexpected delays in USPS delivery . If delivery by a specific date is important to you, we would encourage you to select one of our expedited shipping methods (Ground, Express Saver, 2nd Day, Overnight) which will ensure your package is sent via FedEx or UPS. To keep our shipping offerings economical for our customers, we still continue to offer Standard Shipping which is frequently delivered via USPS.

Update: December 14, 2020

Due to increased COVID safety requirements and an increase in COVID cases, our California facilities are experiencing a backlog of production because we are unable to operate at full staff capacity and were also unable to hire additional seasonal staff this year to meet demand. We have added warning messages across the site on affected products.

We are also seeing a high variability in the delivery time for all carriers, and especially USPS . Due to the large influx of orders this year from a surge in online shopping, all shipping estimates may be subject to unforeseen delays. The majority of packages are still delivering by or close to their original expected delivery date, however we have seen some packages be affected by a delay of up to 2 weeks in rare instances. We have tried our best to modify our delivery estimates for accuracy, but we have been unable to account for the small (but increased) number of packages that are experiencing significant delays.

Update: September 29, 2020

Most of our operations have returned to some level of normal, however the big looming issue is how the shipping network (UPS, FedEx, USPS) will hold up over the course of the rest of the year which is predicted to be the largest year ever for online shopping.

With many more people than normal shopping online for the holidays this year, we encourage you to shop early as shipping timelines may not be accurate and can not be guaranteed (even on historically guaranteed shipping methods like Overnight, 2nd Day, Express Saver, and Ground)

Update: July 22, 2020

By implementing social distancing protocols and requiring masks for all staff, most staff has been able to return to our main facility and we are almost back to our Pre-COVID production times.

Some notable implications due to COVID are still in place:

  • Customer service is still running a little slower than normal because of an increase in workload and customer inquiries are still high
  • Shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS) are still running behind and are not able to guarantee delivery times, even on historically guaranteed shipping methods (Overnight, 2nd Day, Express Saver, Ground)
  • Some of our facilities are still experiencing issues related to COVID and we have done our best to note affected items on the website

Most of the YouCustomizeIt team are at home due to local "stay at home" orders. Our customer service team members are working remotely and are still able to answer any questions you may have, however response times may be slower than normal. If you are unable to reach us, please be patient and know that we are trying our best to get back to you as soon as possible.

We are still producing and shipping orders, however because we are running with extremely limited staff we can no longer guarantee delivery within the time frames the website shows. If you have questions about the status of your order, or want to know the expected production time for an item, feel free to contact us and we will do our best to ensure your order is handled to the best of our abilities.
